you have a present problem ...
Problem credit, bad credit, no credit, divorced, student, new to country, bankrupt, behind in payments, judgments, unpaid collections, credit counseling or proposal, unpaid family support, or self-employed? How do I get approved for a car loan, truck loan or auto loan? How do I repair my credit history that is causing most car dealers to decline my applications? I am up against a wall and don't know where to turn, but I know I need a car or truck to get around.
your past impacts your future...
Credit histories sometimes seem take on a life of their own. How well you have handled money and debt or utility bills (such as telephone, hydro or gas) is recorded by a number of companies (notably Equifax and Transunion in Canada), and in turn this information is available to banks, credit unions, insurance companies and just about anyone who could be in a position to lend you money. With your permission, any potential lender, including car dealers, leasing companies and ourselves can rummage through your financial histories and credit scores going back in time up to about 6 years. Some items like past bankruptcies can place permanent flags on your credit history. We recognize that most people are fair and honest and really had no intention of missing payments, losing a job, getting divorced or simply are new to adulthood and really haven't had a chance to prove themselves financially yet. But all these circumstances now form barriers to getting new loans extended or approved, refinancing existing loans or in this case preventing you from buying and driving a car or truck. Conventional lenders in many cases won't look at your situation with any compassion, and yet amazingly nearly 25% of Canadians are facing this problem.
your present may be different ...
In most cases, the credit score companies may not know the latest changes and your current credit or financial situation. Maybe you just got remarried, found a new job, inherited some money, or got a good pay raise, got your utility accounts back into good standing and so on. The process of collecting and assembling all the details of your credit standing takes time. And sometimes the reporting of credit changes, recording updates and such can be a few months behind. So if your circumstances have improved, we need to be able to represent this information to our lenders. Naturally any good news on this front are important to getting that approval for you. Make sure we have the details by talking with one of our Special Finance Managers today to bring them up-to-date with important information before we talk with the lenders.
